My negative battery post is crooked and the inside of one side of the post has a slant to it, it is not square. The screw/bolt thing that sets in between the post has gotten loose for no apparent reason. This has caused cutouts and the starter tripping the battery.
I can tighten all this up but i am thinking that the slant to the post is allowing the connection to not be tight. I have had this problem of no battery power and cutting out for a few months. I had my mechanic lookover the whole electrical system before the problem worsened recently and i found it to be loose. He had checked the battery so if if the coonection was loose then i would think that woudl have been resolved. What i am saying is that even tightened i think the imperfection of the post is a problem. Does anyone think this could be the case and could be causing shorts?
