What was the strategy for the Silverstone race?

After a great two days of practice in dry conditions, where Marc was very strong and took an incredible pole position and Dani showed a very good pace, we were hoping that the weather forecast was wrong… Unfortunately Sunday it was raining but still, after a wet warm up, we believed that we had the chance to do a good race. In the race Valetino was very strong but Marc was following him and we thought it could have been possible to stay there until the end and try to pass him. Unfortunately Marc crashed and Dani was not able to fight for the podium.

Positive and negative points after the race?

Positive point is that Marc is ok after the crash. Negative is that now the gap in the Championship is really big and - even if we won’t give up until the end - it is very difficult to think about the Title.

The view from pit wall during the race?

At the beginning we were pleased with the performance of Marc, as it looked like he was following Valentino waiting to attack. Dani also seemed able to close the gap with the leaders. Unfortunately it was not our day...

Inside story apart from official comments?

Before the start of the race Lord March, the organizer of the Goodwod Festival of Speed, came to see us in the garage. It is always a pleasure to meet him as he is a big fan of motorsport and his event is one of the biggest in the world, where Honda is always proud to be present!
