Over 5500 bikes by year, manufacturer and model from 1934 to today.
It was a really, really tough decision this year on what was the most impactful event of 2015, and trust me, there were quite a few to pick from! But in the end, sadly, it was the European migrant crisis that won out.
1,827,115 refugees and migrants claimed asylum in EU countries in 2015 (Jan-Dec). Which is a STAGGERING number from the source, Fontex Europa, much higher than our media is reporting of 1 million (where they report it).

2015 Motorcycle MPG Fuel Economy Guide
World Changing Event: European migrant crisis - Begining in 2015, when a rising number of refugees and migrants made the journey to the European Union to seek asylum, travelling across the Mediterranean Sea, or through Southeast Europe. They came from areas such as Western and South Asia, Middle East, Africa, and the Western Balkans. From Jan-Dec 2015, illegal boarder corssing numbered: 763,958 from the Western Balkan route, 880,820 from the Easter Mediterranean route, 157,220 from the Central Mediterranean route and 25,117 from other routes. Top 3 origins were Syria, Kosovo and Afghanistan. With the majority seeking asylum in Germany, Hungary, Sweeden, Frace and Italy. (Source: Frontex Europa)
While the 2016 motorcycle MPG numbers are up, we will still have to wait a year to find out what this year's most impactful event will be. Let's hope it is a positive one, I'm a little concerned for the world when they happen to be mostly negative ones.
Each year, all the way back to 1934 you will find that year's most impactful event. If you don't want to see the worst ones, skip the WWII years.
