Anybody ever use Sea Foam in their oil? I put it in my gas every fill up but it also says on the can that is can be added to the crankcase. I want to try it but thought I would ask if anyone else has and what, if any, the effects were.

I put it in about 200 miles before the oil change. Didn't notice anything different. I have used it in the gas, mostly in the winter. I also use it if I get some bad gas. It has always smoothed the engine right back out. I've used it to clean my chain, too. It really gets it clean, just use the "deep creep" in the spray can, and put a newspaper under the bike. It's amazing how clean it gets, and how dirty the newspoaper gets! Once I put some in, right after I got the bike, and the white smoke was thick and persistant for a few minutes. Then it ran like a top. It was stumbling a little off idle, and that cleared it up, without a carb cleaning. It's been almost 10,000 miles since that little episode. I think it works.
Ride safe...God bless!

I sucked some Seafoam into the vacuum lines on my '86 Radian. Lots and lots of white smoke later, it runs smoother and starts better. I usually run a bit of Marvel Mystery Oil in my gas and occasionally some in my oil, but I don't use Seafoam in those because it's so bloody expensive ($5 a quart for Seafoam on sale, $11 for a gallon of MMO).
