#1 Unread post by sidecarguy »

the jawa owbers manual has some strange measures

ok for example:
fuel tank capacity 17 dm3 ,2,8 dm3 emergency reserve
gearbox-oil charge 1 + 0,1 dm3

on tyre pressure its:
front wheel 130 kpa (1.30at)
rear wheel 270k pa (2,7 at)

Sorry that I am unable to help you out, but I'm going to move this to the "Trouble Shooting" forum - you're apt to get more responses there. Good luck!

Cheers,

Maybe Decameters? Seems a tad off, but you never know

1 dm3 = 1 cubic decimeter = 1000 cc = 1 liter
So, it looks like your gas tank holds 17 liters with 2.8L emergency reserve. Gearbox looks like 1.01L.

For tire pressure :
Front 130 kPa (kilopascals) = 1.283 atmospheres = 18.85 PSI
Rear 270 kPa = 2.66 atmospheres = 39.16 PSI

a good tyre pressure gauge should list readings in both psi and kpa. Im pretty sure I picked up a dial type one at walmart for only a 3-4 bucks

or else you can also get the fancy digital one for 5-6 bucks that will definitely give readouts in every unit possible
