I think it's a poor choice that stems from laziness and self-centeredness to not use turn signals in a car or bike. But for a biker to go down after trying to illegally pass a car that makes a sudden turn....who's the idiot? In my opinion, the biker is more of the idiot. Why? Because he or she knows that biking is much more dangerous, and even though the car was driving poorly, if the motorcyclist would have just slowed down like a normal car driver, he or she would have been fine.
I have the same issues with driving on the line in traffic. If someone tries to stop you, yes, they are an a-hole. But if a biker hits someone, who's the idiot? The biker is, in my opinion. Just because the car may have made a sudden idiotic turn has nothing to do with the fact that a biker put himself out there to be smashed.
I understand this is not how all bikers ride, and probably the large majority don't. But you know those for whom I'm typing.
Keep in mind I understand that the huge majority of car complaints you guys have are very much a one-way issue, but to me it seems like a lot of these type of accidents occur from bikers who are using the capabilities of their machines to do things that may ultimately put them at a huge risk - which they shouldn't complain about.
Lastly, and a bit off topic, I actually like the loud motorcycle sounds when I'm driving my car. For me, it's much easier to become aware of the bikes and to give em distance. Wish I could give the same appreciation to the noise when I'm trying to sleep or eat at a restaurant.

I sincerely am curious, and I'm not trying to upset any of you...so just let me know what you think. Thanks!
