@Holcombe Gives #Beta Their First Title in #WEC

Press Release

For Immediate Release
Paso Robles, California

Factory Beta rider Steve Holcombe has won the World Enduro Championship E3 Title aboard his 300 RR Race Edition. The young Brit capped off his season by winning both days in France securing the title. More impressive is Holcombe's third place finish in the Overall "GP" series. All classes are combined to determine the overall winner of the event. Holcombe won the overall four times during the 2016 season.

"Winning this title is amazing, the perfect end to what has been an incredible year for me," commented a delighted Holcombe at the end of the day. "It's been an anxious time running up to this event. I felt good today but not exactly at the level I've been riding all year. It was close with Manuel Monni today and my teammate Johnny Aubert had a great ride considering his injured shoulder. They kept me on my toes but I did enough to become world champion, which feels amazing."

Holcombe and his Beta 300 RR have proven to be an unbeatable combination.

Teammates Johnny Aubert and Alex Salvini have also found success in the 2016 season with Aubert finishing on the podium three times in the GP overall and winning the E3 class three times and was on the podium 14 of the 16 races.

Johnny Aubert finished the E3 Championship in second place.

Alex Salvini worked hard all season long aboard his Beta 4 stroke in the highly-contested E2 class finishing the season off in 5th place in the overall standings with a total of 7 podium finishes.

All three rider's performances gave Beta the Manufacture's cup as well proving to the world that they are the ones to beat in the future.

Beta's Tim Pilg comments, "Beta's continued dedication to the sport of off road racing shows through the efforts of many members from the Beta team in Europe. The incredible performance of all three riders shows that our motorcycles are competitive and durable. The World Enduro Championship is one of the toughest on a motorcycle as the riders are on the bikes for 7-9 hours per day. I am very proud of our factory team members overseas and would like to say Congratulations on Beta USA's behalf."

Sincerely,
Your Beta Crew
