Turnsignals are not working like usual

I have a oproblem with the turnsignals on my VN800 . At idle or low speed qwhen I turn them on they blink very fast , When I pull the throttle they blink at normal speed.
Any ideas ?

Had the same problem. Turned out to be he turn signal wires that are inside my headlight assembly were worn, and shorting on the headlight housing. Took out the headlight, cut and recrimped my wires and WHAMO, no blinker problems.
