Young Leatt Family Members Reap Results at Mini O’s
CAPE TOWN, South Africa (December, 2016) – Leatt Corporation is known for the invention of the first-of-its kind neck brace protection system, the Leatt-brace®. They have since expanded their range to include helmets, body protection, hydration, gloves, and even launched apparel as part of their 2017 product line.
A few heavy hitters from their Leatt Elite Amateur Motocross team recently headed east to spend their Thanksgiving holiday on the track at the 2016 Winter Olympics Amateur Motocross Nationals. Most commonly referred to as the Mini O’s, it took place at the Gatorback Cyclepark in Florida, USA from 21-26 November.
A special event that offers a different set of challenges when compared to any other amateur national competitions, it consists of two events morphing into one. Riders have the chance to compete on a Supercross-style course during the first half of the week, and then on a traditional Motocross track during the rest of the week.
The Leatt amateur team proved their dominance in both disciplines, taking home a total of 11 National Championships, with six and five Supercross and Motocross titles respectively. Four of these were earned solely by long-time Leatt Family member and amateur standout, Carson Mumford.
Excellent results from these young stars, one cannot help but be excited for their future results as professional riders.
