Can't sleep Arrrrrgggh!
It's 3:30 am (been up since 2) and I'm up when I should be catching ZZZZs.
Some a-hole's car alarm went off and here I am. I was tempted to put my 10 lb. sledge hammer through the windshield. These f'n car alarms are driving me up the wall.
My house is right on a busy street going into downtown and it sucks a$$. You got the insane homeless screaming at the top of their lungs in the middle of the night (usually they're yelling at a crack in the sidewalk or a stop sign).
A couple times a month my wife usually wakes me up with, "I heard something, I think someones in the house," so I have to get my 9 and sweep the house. Of course I'm not going to be able to sleep after doing that.
More than anything I want get 5 acres (minimum) out in the boonies and live in peace and quiet and maybe get some sleep. I've about had it with city living - it's got nothing for me anymore. Just have to convince the woman. Anybody living on acrage? I envy you.

You might wanna try a dietary supplement called Melatonin . I take one at night prior to going to sleep and it really helps .

Well you could take something i guess, but getting out there sounds like the fix. get yer 5+ acres....aim +.
go out far....land starts getting really cheap in the crusty-"O Ring" places where you can't farm and there;s no development....
you might be amazed at how good it feels to not be knee deep in the general population.
