Mirrors

#1 Unread post by Radar »

I am not too happy with the mirrors on my scooter. The way they are now I have a huge blind spot behind me. I can try to adjust them but I mostly just see my arms and shoulders. Would it be better to get different mirrors or to have the existing mirrors moved further out? If I should just replace them, is there a good type of mirrors to get?

I have a huge blind spot behind me too, but thats cuz I'm fat.

They aren't adjustable enough?

If they aren't then I guess you would need new mirrors, but most are adjustable to the point that you can see whose following you.

Try doing what you intent to do -- move the mirrors more further out and see if your blind spot problem is solved. If the mirrors would not budge, then its time to replace. Try them out on your scooter before purchasing.

See if there is any adjustment at the root of the stem, your scoot looks similar to my daughters and we had the same problem. I found that the stem is bolted on to the bar frame and we can adjust that way as well as the head. Also if you can do that you also get little blind spot mirrors that stick on your big mirrors.
I spent my therapy money an a K1200S
The therapy worked, I got a GS now
A touch of insanity crept back in the shape of an R1200R

Thanks for the quick responses. I will definitly have a look at how the mirrors are mounted. Those little attachable mirrors sound interesting also.

That scooter would look awesome with some Arlen Ness mirrors on it.

Awww, Man! You can see your elbows?! Hell, I'd be happy to see anything in mine!

Of course, I'd be happy to stop slicing my thumbs open on them, too!

Indeed. That's why I call them my "vanity mirrors". :P
