2003 Suzuki Volusia 800 9,700 miles, $4,500 from a dealer.
It is a very recent trade in.
It is in excellent condition, does not appear to have been laid down at all.
A couple of small dings on the top of the exhaust pipes but that's it.
Looks like the rear tire might need to be replaced soon.
Thanks!

Get them to throw in a rear tire and you score!

Thanks Toyuzu!
Now I just need to get my wife over the "I'm spending $4-$5k on the bike and gear"
Secretly I know she wants to ride again.
It's all about the money at this point.

I can certainly understand that. Money is usually the biggest deciding factor in choosing a bike for me, too. Good luck!

Yes. I have seen them for $5,999.00.
$1,500 buys a lot of good riding gear!

I second the motion to ask them to throw in a new rear tire (installed) and you go a descent deal.
I have a 2003 Volusia with 9,800 miles on it. No I won't sell mine to you. Yes, it's going to need a rear tire very soon.
