Well I got myself a 1991 Honda CBR 600cc. Well the bike has not been started in 4 years untill yesterday. Me and my dad were on it for 2 days to get it runing and we finally did. When we got it runing it worked damn well. No problems. So I had my fun riding it around and put it back in the garage. Next morning it did not start again. To get it started I had to put a few drops of gas into those air intake holes on the carb (btw how are they called in english?). Then it started right off. Restarting is no problem. If I leave it more then one hour then again it wont start and again I have to put gas in the carb then it runs fine. So any ideeas why it wont start after siting one hour?

Are you using the choke when you start the bike?

If you aren't, then you will have a hard time starting the bike when it's cold. The choke dumps more fuel into the cylinders making it easier to start and get warmed up; you close the choke when the bike has gotten warmed up.

Yes I am using full choke and I saw it working. I think there just isnt any gas to fire up. When I try to restart it rumbles for a second then dies. I think since my gas pump uses vacuum it dosent get enough vacuum when trying to start it I dont get any gas in the carb. When I shoot gas in the carb with the siringe it has enough gas to start and make vacuum to continue runing. Could that be it?

you may have a vacuum leak on the petcock vacuum line then. Replace that hose and see what happens. If that doesn't help the problem, you're only out a dollar or so and you have a new line.

it dont have a prime position?
too feed the carb by gravity?
