My bike if filthy! I got it after it had been sitting for 9 years and everywhere has dirt on it. What is a good way to get it clean?
Also when I got the bike the front fender was cracked (plastic) when my wife was in the garge she leaned on it and it broke off. I'm having a difficult time finding a replacement and have kicked around the idea of using a little apoxy to get that back together. The fender broke just in front of the forks.
To repair the fender. Try this. On the inside (where it won't be seen), lay a lap of fiberglass cloth or two. (You know, with resin and hardener) Be sure it is the full width of the fender. Depending on the fender itself, that may be sufficient to hold it. Naturally you want to glue the crack and then refinish. If the fender has minimal curvature (from side to side), you may need to apply a layer of fiberglass cloth on the outside as well. This will require much more work but when done properly it can affect a satisfactory repair. Obviously you will need to refinish the fender to make it look like anything.
As for cleaning, Elbow grease?
