i need help and im broke...meaning i hope its an easy fix!!!
i have a 1998 suzuki vz800 marauder which i bought used in august.
great bike untill recently it started taking longer and longer to start the bike then last week i turned the key and pressed the starter and the bike made a buzzing sound then my lights turn off and wouldnt turn back on, i had to push start the bike to get home. this is my only vehicle my wife drives the car we have. i have charged the battery and it still happens, again please help!!

A buzzing as an "electrical" noise or a "mechanical" noise? Do you know where abouts the noise came from?
Off the top of my head for a cheap fix... Maybe the ground wire came off and is shorting out the bike...
Probably the starter solenoid from a low voltage condition.
First, before buying parts, clean the battery terminal. Remove the wires, clean the therminals well. Tighten well. Check the ground wire connection to the frame. Check the connection to the starter solenoid. Make sure it is good by removing it, clean, and replace.
A wire was loose on my bike. Hit the starter button, hole bike went dead. Wait a few minutes and the lights worked. Hit start, dead again. Was a loose wire on the starter solenoid.
If this doesn't help, check the wiring all the way to the starter.
If the wiring is good, you may need a starter solenoid. You also may have a bad ignition switch. Check for batt. voltage at all connections.
A lot of people replace components, which fix the problem. However, what they didn't realize ids the loosening and tightening of the connection is what solved the problem, not the new part.
