Diesel Motorcycle

#1 Unread post by floatsmyboat »

I have wondered about diesel motorcycles, well someone has already done it, and selling them to the military. I can't help but wonder how long before they become available to the public.

Old news. The USMC has been using them for several years now, and HDT has just released the first civilian version, the Bulldog. They are taking orders now for spring 2006 delivery.

Maybe they will come with time, but with bikes getting close to 50mpg on gasoline, dosen't seem likely diesel would catch on to much especially since performance would likely be sacrificed.

Diesel bikes have been around for a while. I saw a Matchless diesel at the Meldreth Manor show in June 2004.
I'm sure there would be a picture of on on the web somewhere. I'll post mine when I work it out.[/img]
