only 1 cylinder firing on a 1981 cm400e

both cylinders have spark to them when i checked them and i just cleaned the carbs, i dont know much about electronic ignition systems can anyone throw out some things to check?

the carbs are not sycronized i have to give it gas to keep it running maybe this is part of the problem?

Sounds very much like a carb/fuel delivery problem rather than an electrical one. You might have to go through the carbs and clean them out good.......
