Have you guys seen the "Motorcycle caddy" before?

I think I will stick with a bike trailer.
I would be a nervous wreck pulling my bike with that thing.

The Caddy is NOT for use on a Motorhome, Camptrailer, 5th Wheel, Bus or other LONG vehicle. The turning radius will lay the bike over and cause DAMAGE to the bike!

Sounds to me like this setup would put strain on your bike when making a turn in any vehicle.

Two things....

Looks as safe as riding backwards with your eyes closed.

Second, didn't most of us buy our bikes to ride them? Have this conversation with my buddy everytime he brings up trailering our Harleys to a rally.

Besides, I cannot see how this caddy is good for a motorcycle.

notice the bike was a harley, you dont think it runs do you?

that thing is scary. i can't see that being good for the forks. I'd be willing to bet that is not approved by any of the bike manufacturers.

I thought the ones for cars were stupid, never imagined someone would fashion one for a bike.

At the same time, trailering a bike is a good thing from time to time. For instance, in a week I need to take my girlfriends bike down to Charlottesville. Now I could take it myself and take the train back, or I could put both our bikes on a trailer, be able to ride with her and then bring my bike back and still have it here.

Also, I have to go pick up a motorcycle today that doesn't run. I'm getting it to eventually ride but for now it doesn't start which makes riding harder.

It's a Honda VLX600 btw.....

I see rocket-boys pulling stoppies all the time, and I don't imagine this device puts any more strain on the forks than bringing 500lbs of bike plus 200lbs of rider to a stop on the front wheel. I'm not saying I'd buy/use one, but I don't see how or why it would damage the bike in tow.

That's true, but then again it'd be a couple of seconds vs several hours as a minimum or days/weeks at a max. I doubt either is good, but saying just because one doesn't seem to be bad doesn't mean that either is.
