Brought the new 05 Shadow Spirit home today

#1 Unread post by KeithB »

Had to trailer it home, but before I did, was 45 degrees and the roads were dry enough to take a ride. It hadles like a dream, very resposive handling. I came back with a big smile.

Had one mile, added 25 as you can see in one of the pics 8)

After 20 years of not riding, i was a tiny bit woblly on take off, but otherwise was like i had riden yesterday. Didn;t even stall, though i am still getting used to the gears. :D

Absolutely, except for....

Old deaf and blind seniors only just managing to peek over the steering wheel.

Rainstorms at a moments notice

Hurricanes

Hotter than heck from about May to September. You swear your right leg is forming blisters from the engines heat when stopped at a traffic light. And sweat......its only outdoor events for bikers in the summer here.

NO hills.

Bugs the size of cows.

But apart from that....yeah...paradise

Nice looking bike. I love Honda's, they seem more solid to me than alot of other bikes.

when i was loading up my bike they were preping a new Mean Streak that was just sold :)

i picked up one of these body armour jackets today, and plan to get the pants to match

Got the jaclet for $99, made by Rver Road, made of the new mesh, has all the padding and a removable liner.
