Sorry but this just boggles my mind. Before I rant on about MY opinion on this, I'd like to hear yours!

I don't want to say I can judge every case, and I know as a society we go WAY overboard sometimes. The far right wingers and far left wingers keep us all looking like a bunch of idiots.

That said, we have kids at a much younger ages being exposed to images in music videos and movies that give them ideas that they cannot yet understand. Moms and Dads need to stop this from filtering through, but I don't see it happening. Kids learn what a hootchie mama is before they even know what a hootchie mama is for - know what I mean?

Sexual harassment for a 6 year old? It doesn't make much sense, but I bet you the vocabulary is already present in way too many kids out there, way before it should be. Six year olds are watching the Simpsons, Southpark, and who knows what else on MTV and VH1. God forbid they get a glimps of "reality" TV.

I'm not suggesting that we should shelter kids from real life, but I am suggesting people need to remove the images until they are ready to have involved convesations with their kids regarding the implications of the things they are seeing. And at 6 years old there is no way to explain all the complexities of adult sexuality, and certainly not adult sexual deviant behavior.

Damn - you bummed me out with this one.

The folks who are running that school have shown the parents (and now the whole country) that they are mindless idiots. Now it's up to the parents. If they accept this and keep those people in charge of their school, they deserve everything they get.

The way you end up with situations like this is by not holding people accountable for their moronic decisions.

These people went a tad overboard here. I would think it is fine to reprimand the child and tell him that what he did is inappropriate and wrong, but I don't think 6yr olds can sexually harass a classmate. They don't understand what is going on. Another example of how disturbing the world is getting....

Schools have a hard time dealing with issues these days. On one hand, kids are entitled to their own space and security, but a six-year-old child has little idea of what sexual harrassment even is. Seems they would have done much better to sit down with the kids and parents and simply explain what is expected regarding personal space. Even though they have a lawyer for this child, he has still been made to feel shame for something that was most likely very innocent.

Cheers,

what a shame them schools are not one bit interested in the education of the students.stuff like this just relieves the boredom of the teachers who are there to get a paycheck and go home.when i was going to school they had a cure for putting your fingers in someones pants.it was called a good beating.cant do that anymore because we are a nation of sissies.

Anyone read the part where the poor child asked his mommy whether the police were going to come and get him?

I think the parents need to sue the school for traumatizing this kid.
