Horn Usage?

#1 Unread post by d2mini »

How often do you use your horn?
I think I should really be using mine more often, I pretty much never do. :(
I'm very tempted whenever I see a car waiting to pull out of a driveway or side street, but then for some reason i don't.
What about you guys?

You really shouldn't flash your high beams. That is suppose to be a signal that you are letting the other car go.

I pretty much lay on it the entire ride. Too bad it sounds so high-pitched and cheap. I'd really like to get one from a Lamborghini.

I only use my horn if someone is starting to pull out, or does pull out... in which case they get the horn, the finger, and a few vulgarities spewn in their direction; usually in the form of "get off the (insert favorite bad word/words here) phone!!!"

They always make that confused, innocent, big-eyed, "What, me??" look... but I like to let people know they are mentally challenged.

Loonette told me about this time a guy was on the phone and almost hit her. She honked at the guy and he held up his hand in the "I'm on the phone" gesture, like this excused him not paying attention. I think alot of people expect you to look out of them, since they don't have time to look for you. That is how I ride anyway, like no one is paying attention to me.

I hope that never happens to me. I work in a deli and get VERY irritated just when people waste my time while I'm waiting for them to get off the phone to help them. Makes me wish cell phone jammers were legal

I used to work in a coffee shop....ooooo that would irritate me so much, I feel for you! I always make sure to be off my cell when I'm at a checkout or something, and if I'm not I at least tell the person I need to call them back and then apologize to the cashier.

Everyone deserves to be treated with courtesy and respect.
