exhaust?

75 cb 550 f 4 into 1 exhaust:
muffler is rotted.
headers are rusty.
best way to fix the headers?
how do is sepperate the muffler from the header? it has a bolt with no head and the nut on the other side looks to be welded on?
can i just buy the muffler some where with gaskets and such?
i looked on bike bandit and they just seem to sell black headers with chrome mufflers.i guess im just a little confused and need to shop around more and think it out. but i could use some beta on the subject and possibilities i have.i would like to be all chrome.

And if you're planning on replacing the whole exhaust system, just cut that weld with a grinder or something, you won't need those pipes anymore. Oh, by CB550/4 you mean the Super Four, right? If not, you'll have to re-search those two sites.
