I'm struggling to keep the balls of my feet on the pegs while I'm riding. I learned to ride on a dirtbike and developed the bad habit of keeping my arch on the pegs and toes covering the shifter/brake.
So now that I'm trying to do everything properly, I'm having a hard time breaking the habit. Any ...

Happy Bike Day!
Pulled the trigger on a 1999 SV650 with 15K on the clock this morning. $2200 + tax, tags, and title. Owner threw in a Clymer's manual and a new chain. Haven't got the bike yet, waiting for the bank to catch up with paperwork.

Re: Unreasonable guidelines
Should we tell new bikers to spend 10,000 miles on a 250cc bike with 30-40 hp? You can, but I don't think its a reasonable recommendation. From my reading, nobody here is an absolutist, and says "one size fits all", but I would recommend people to try some bikes, perhaps by renting if you can, and ...

When you are taking off going straight, do the RPM's rev pretty high before settling back down? If so, you may be using too much throttle. This is ...

By the way ninja 250 is not the " most forgiving and noobie friendly bikes made" It is a very powerfull bike
Yes, it is. Do you still want something with four times the horsepower? In my opinion, there are no forgiving bikes. It's the nature of riding a motorcycle, you MUST be in full control of ...
