Not any more than lugging it around with you in the store/restaraunt etc. Sometimes I will carry it in with me if I know I'm only going to be a couple minutes.bobtasco wrote:ehhh, I guess that will do it, but isn't that a pain in the "O Ring"?
Maybe but I dont usually frequent places that have crackheads walking around.macktruckturner wrote:ehh a crackhead doesn't need much - a dollar is a dollar. I lock mine to the seat or carry it with me.
HA!!! I live near Flint , Michigan...the town GM killed. Crime is so bad around town, I lock my helmet in the trunk of my Venture then take the trunk inside with me...NorthernPete wrote:I lock mine with the little locky hook thing under the seat. But I do see alot of people leaving their helmets on the seat or handle bars as well, so I guess depending how crime riden your area is, it probably isnt a big thing. its not like its a wallet, its not an easily cashable item IMO.
*L A1 super cool image there!thebighop wrote:A helmet isn't much good with a chin strap ripped off it. Wind has a bad habit off pulling the helmet off your head at road speed. If you bike has a helmet hook, they usually lock, you can safely hang it there and not worry too much. Personally, I wouldn't want a helmet I couldn't strap on properly.
Leathers present a different problem. You could alwyas loop a chain through the sleeve and chain it to the bike...a leather jacket, with out sleeve isn't very practicle either...unless of course you have a matching helmet with a missing chin strap
