80 CB750F can't remove clutch lever
So i picked up a new clutch lever fro my 80 CB750F, nothing special, just a lever with a hole for the screw.
I went over to my bike, looks simple enough. A slotted screw through the handlebar mount with a nut and washer on the other side. Grabbed a 10mm wrench and took off the nut.
Went to push the slotted bolt out, nothing. It will not budge. It turn with a lot of effort and a screw driver, but I damn near stripped the head already trying that.
So any advice?
Is there something painfully obvious that I'm missing?
I'm baffled, please help

you will have to unscrew the bolt holding the lever in - it threads into the bottom of the lever perch. The nut on the bottom is a safety thing.
Give the bolt a good dosing of wd40 and let it sit for awhile to work in a free things up.
alternate trying to remove and tighten the bolt in the perch, this will help to break up any rust and corrosion and clear it out of the way to avoid stripping the threads out.
Easy way to make sure the pivot bolt gets a good soaking is to remove the perch from the bars, disconnect the cable, and then soak the whole unit in wd40 (put in sealed container, pour in wd40, let it sit overnight)
