True they were very futurastic and still look cool today. So is either one of them running.Or are you hoping to make one complete bike out of the two?

I bumped into a guy a few weeks ago, along Kensington Road, just about to hop onto his Seca Turbo. We ended up chatting for a half-hour or so... the "BattleStar Galactica" comment is right for sure. It's like Viper ready to be launched... same red and black stripes and probably some strafing marks too.

The coolest bikes from that era in my opinion are the Hans Muth designed 1982 Katanas, and especially the last of them, the 1985 Katana 750 with the pop-up headlight. Not that the racing designs of the RZ350/500/NSR400/GSXR750 were not being droooled over by me, but the uniqueness of those Katanas still makes them stand out. And I loved that silver!

i also may be able to help you bounce a bike off the deck :-) it won't be like pulling a motocrosser off the back of a truck i s'ppose... oh those heavy pigs from the '80s... no wonder i grew up riding RZ350s...

perhaps i could utilize my trials skill and ride it down the steps ;-)

anyway... in other news.. after 13 months with NO MOTORCYCLE, after 17 years of riding, I think i just lucked out on a little beater, which i have already coined, Salvation in a can of Sardines. We shall see how the bargaining works out :-)

The first clue to my bike, will help eliminate MANY other models:

"Salvation in a can of Sardines" for $100 Alex:

It has a kickstarter.

For Sale: Ninja 600 with parts bike, needs minor work, $30, no title... (GEE THAT DOESNT RING ANY WARNING BELLS DOES IT?)

Ah, the weather in Calgary today just stinks with the forcast of more stinky rainy weather to come for the week ahead... :(

Dam, that's going to put a damper on my riding. At least there is the Total Motorcycle Online Arcade! :D
