If I recall correctly...
It's an earlier Busa turbo'd in France, the footage has been around for about 5 years.
The wheelie is between 70 and 140mph - I've no reason to disbelieve it following footage of types like Ghostrider pulling wheelies in that range while evading the Police.
The first time I came across the footage it was a bigger picture and the numbers inside the track were easier to see - form memory the inside are kph

You're wrong. The outside is mph. Look again.DRam wrote:The outside numbers are the kph scale, inside number mph scale. Triple digits on the inside scale start at about 180 kph. 180 kph = 108 mph. 220kph = 132 mph. The wheelie seemed to end at about 140 kph, or 84 mph.

Ghostrider footage.

Right near the end he accelerates away from the Police car pulling a wheelie and those Volvo T-5's are not slow...

No, you are wrong.Bachstrad37 wrote: You're wrong. The outside is mph. Look again.
Inside is kph and ends at 350. Outside is mph and ends at 220. Do the math.
Better vid, easier to see.

That's most definitely a modified or altered gauge. If you watch how fast everything is going by, like the lines in the highway, trees, and emergency crossovers, it doesn't match up to going over 200MPH.

So, does the Busa's speedometer drive from the rear wheel or front wheel ? If it runs from a digital pulse from the gearbox that would explain how the speedometer continues to climb when the front wheel is getting air. If it runs from the front wheel, then it's a no brainer...it's fake.

That's what I saw too. Never mind what the gauge says - the physics don't make sense. If he were going that fast... the scenery near the road's edge would be a blur.Stratus311 wrote:That's most definitely a modified or altered gauge. Being that he isn't looking down and to the side, it is kind of hard to tell... I've been in a Twin-turboed corvette that went an indicated 190mph, and it didn't look too much different from that. The main identifier would be the lines in the middle of the road.. Someone just needs to go do a similar video and we can count lines out of the periphrials at speedLoonette wrote:That's what I saw too. Never mind what the gauge says - the physics don't make sense. I would say his speedo is off, but I still think he is going pretty darn fast. If you notice, he is up into the redline... if it is a turboed bike, or heavily modified, it is possible that he is up around 200mph. I've seen a Busa that was good for 208mph actual (had it tested at the track).
