Buell has again come out in full force with their new 2007 Buell Motorcycle lineup.

Firebolt Changes for 2007

New Pirelli Tires: Pirelli Diablo T tires will be standard equipment on both Firebolt models in 2007, replacing the Dunlop tires used previously. Buell engineers have determined that advances made in the Pirelli Diablo T make it a better tire for all-around, real-road riding. Pirelli tires are state-of-the-art for cornering, high speed stability and grip.

New Airbox Cover Design: The revised design of the inner airbox cover increases airflow potential to the engine without adversely affecting intake noise levels.

What's New on Lightning for 2007
New Pirelli Tires: Pirelli tires are now standard equipment on all Lightning models, replacing the Dunlop tires used previously. Buell engineers have determined that advances made in the Pirelli Diablo T make it a better tire for all-around real-world performance with the Lightning XB12S, Lightning XB12Scg, and Lightning Long XB12Ss. The Lightning CityX XB9SX wears the aggressive tread pattern of the Pirelli Scorpion Sync.

New Colors: The Lightning XB12S and XB12Scg come in a new Cherry Bomb Translucid Red color with matching translucent wheels, and the Lightning XB12Ss Midnight Black model comes with new designer black powdercoat wheels.

New Seat Design
For 2007, the Buell Ulysses is a better fit for more riders, thanks to a new seat shape that's both narrower at the front and lower overall. Seat height is reduced by 1.3 inches, to 31.8 inches. Seat comfort and durability is further enhanced by the elimination of seams on the side of the seat and an improved coarse texture.

What's New on Ulysses for 2007

New Tires
Another change for 2007 is a switch from Dunlop D616 to Pirelli Scorpion Sync tires. Through testing by Buell it was determined that when fitted to the Ulysses, the Pirelli tires deliver better pavement performance and similar performance on unpaved roads, thanks to an aggressive, open tread pattern. Tire size is unchanged, at 120/70R-17 front and 180/55R-17 rear.

New Fork Springs and Airbox Cover
Revised front fork springs improve handling and rider comfort, while a revised functional airbox cover optimizes air flow potential without affecting intake noise.

New on Buell XB Models for 2007
Pirelli Tires: All 2007 Buell XB models will roll on high-performance Pirelli tires. The Buell XB12X Ulysses and Lightning CityX XB9SX are shod with aggressive Pirelli Scorpion Sync tires, while all other XB models are on the Pirelli Diablo T tires. Specific information on Pirelli tires can be found at www.pirellidiablo.com.

New Colors: A new color, Cherry Bomb Translucid Red, will be offered for the Lightning XB12S and Lightning XB12Scg models. An exclusive feature to Buell, the Translucid airbox cover and flyscreen are made of a translucent plastic that gives the bike color but also allows some mechanical elements to be visible through the material. The Firebolt XB12R will be offered in Midnight Black with new Translucent Cherry Bomb Red wheels and windscreen, and for the first time in Sunfire Yellow with Designer Black wheels.

Me likey!

I would eventually like to get a Lightning, however I doubt it would be the best bike for a beginner. While the Blast appears to be a decent beginner bike, I think my 6'2 225 lb frame would look really silly on it.
