Recent Threads Main Page

#1 Unread post by Andrew »

On a some other message boards I have been a member of, there is a main page that displays all of the most recent threads. For example, whichever threads had the most recent posts would be displayed regardless of which forum page it comes from.

This saves from a lot of jumping back and forth from forum to forum. Not sure if we could make that happen, but just thought I'd share.

when i log in there is the link Posts since last visit in the top right

maybe just bookmark that and hit that when you enter the site?

although i know the type of thing you are talking about and agree that could be cool too.

The "Post Since Last Visit" page is helpful, and I'm glad it's there. Not exactly what I was getting at, but it was just a idea that I saw.

i'm sure if there were a decent phpBB extension for that, mike probably wouldn't mind implementing it (as long as it wasn't from a sketchy third party)...the only problem is that phpBB, due to it's popularity, becomes an easy target for script kiddies and the more add ons you bolt onto it, the more likely it is that there might be an exploit that could be used to do bad things like stealing user emails or something.

still something worthwhile to consider though...at least then you could see how many posts Verm has made since you last checked
