Pop under ads for this site? a small price to pay for everything we get in return.

BuzZZ said it best in another thread, those who complain have quite a set!
Thank you very much NorthernPete! I do very much appreciate the support. Total Motorcycle is indeed a huge resource, about 7,500 typed pages out side the forums and over 110,000 forum pages... and it's ALL free to access and see! :D

Total Motorcycle runs both types. The ones you click on that I get paid for are called CPC (cost per click) ads. They pay when a visitor clicks on their ads. The other type is called CPM (cost per thousand) and they pay per thousand that are shown. It's hard to generally tell what ad type is CPC or CPM. Advertisers love their ads being clicked on no matter if it's CPC or CPM as it shows they generate interest and those advertisers want to advertise on sites that generate interest so they feel their money is well spent.

Hope that helps answer your question.

I'd love to do that, but I'm not sure the advertisers wouldn't be happy about that...haha You can see the ads running on Total Motorcycle by clicking here: http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/paidads/ refreshing the screen will show different ads.

The ads I would avoid clicking on are the ones that try to fool you into thinking you won something, can win something or it tells you something is wrong with your computer or shows you that you can download something (like antivirus, screensavers, etc). Note that not ALL these types of ads are bad to click on. Of course I have no control where you go when you click on them or what they try to sell you.. haha

I do not approve or see every ad (there are a lot of them) although I can choose not to run certain ads after the fact or ban certain advertisers. I do have to be careful as everything I do does directly affect revenue.

I hope that gives you some useful tips and helps you read inbetween the lines.
