The way I read it on the website, the Dynas will have the new Twin Cam 96 but unlike the other models it will not be the 96B engine. It was the same with the 88 engine last year. Now if I understood what difference the "B" made I would be getting someplace.

Probably about the same time you move out of your cave and into the 21st century.

As I read it, the 96B engine is the one with counterbalancers and will be exclusive to the only model that still has hard engine mounts - the Softail.

The Dyna and touring models use the non-counterbalanced 96 engine, but have rubber-mounted engines.

Don't you ever have anything constructive to add? Face it, there are millions of folks out there who prefer Harley-Davidson motorcycles to their metric counterparts.

And I owned three Hondas back in the seventies and was damned proud of them. You DO remember the seventies...right? I had an attitude like yours back then, before I became an adult.

aww hell harris, let's not start a holy war here.

yes, moto's remark (like all of his) was idiotic, but we really don't need to start a flame war here. trashing metrics is just as bad as trashing harleys. :frusty:

edit - and then you went and edited it, so i take it all back

Riding a metric bike is like having sex with RuPaul. It might look right, but something just doesn't feel right.

Now, that's funny

Honestly, a flame war is not in order, I just thought that was funny. I think Jay Leno said it.

I doesn't really matter what you ride, as long as your knees are in the wind.

Different buyers want different things...
Why spend thousands of pounds restoring a classic car, when you could buy a brank spanking new, sports car for the same price? Some people just don't want modern. Can't say I totally blame them, the life cycle on electrical goods seems to be getting shorter, the more modern they get.

Whys it cost so much to get a replica of the GT40 made?

Its all about the way it makes you feel. Me I'd take the new one, but I understand the other side of the fence too.
