if you dont learn to get a lot further away from the flow of traffic and not have a cement barrier on your right side leaving no escape route even on foot some car or truck will take care of your reflectors.

I agree, when pulled off on the highway, get as FAR over as possible. (check out all of the State Trooper accident videos) Just having you there causes rubber-neck cagers to focus on you and not what's in front of them. Then it happens and the cage in front of them lights up the brakes, they catch it in their periphial vision panic, swerve and your bike and hopefully not you are history from the cager idiot.

Happened to me once when changing a tire, actually missed me by about 1 ft (THANK GOD.) Dummy did two spins in the side of the freeway after missing me and didn't even stop to see if I was ok or to appologize.

If you're ever in Vancouver during fall, winter, spring and part of summer, it is advisable to bring rain gear.

It rains a lot. If you want to ride, you need to be prepared to ride in the wet frequently.

Got caught in my first rain!

Fortunately a light shower to start out my experience with on the new bike.

No big issue..bike felt the same as on dry...but I knew better and took it easy (esp on the curves.)

Now the big pain is wiping off all the water spots and gunk off the radiator and wheel wells.

The price of having lots of cruiser chrome I guess.

At least I'm not as concerned about rain anymore as I was before.
