Toe sliders my friend, get boots with toe sliders. Since they're generally slick plastic or metal, they will slide over instead of grab the asphalt.

But generally riding with the balls of your feet on the pegs can help, although this is usually not as necessary for street riding as it is for racing.

balls of feet on pegs a racing thing? I have always done that since I started street riding. I keep the balls of my feet on the pegs and just slide em forward to shift and brake. Only time I may shift and put my heel on the peg is if im on the super slab and want to give my feet a bit of a rest.

I was told that if you hit toes then that is bad form. You are supposed to keep the balls of your feet on the pegs.

Hmm, I must be a wimp cause I've never scraped pegs on my motorcycle, but then I do have Alphinestars tech6 boots so I guess if it does happen it shouldn't be to bad for me.

I have toe sliders on my boots and its saved me a few times....I wear a size 14 and depending on the type of turn I am taking...my slider usually makes contact.

In the msf i took, the instructors made us keep the balls of our feet on the pegs, unless we needed to shift or brake. so that's what I've done since.

when in doubt, keep your balls to the metal.

Wow you people need roundabouts in your country

Scraped toes, pegs, exhausts (whatevers lowest on the bike really) start to become almost a daily occurance in the UK. Just ease it into the lean (not too quick) and stop when something starts scraping/hurts. You get used to it. Althouth I have had to pick my foot up off the peg before now, to let it fold in a little (cracking corners around cambridgshire way, nice cambre, open visablility, clean decent tarmac)... that may have been a little too far  . I have no idea what I'd have done had I been hanging off.

Oh gawd, now I'm gonna go sulk over trying to get an exhaust again... I NEEEEEEED a working bike soon
