Welcome to Friday the 13th!

Are you superstitious?

Are you having a good day or a bad day?

....

Does Friday the 13th scare your socks off? ;)

Mike.

I never even realized it was a Friday the 13th today until I read this. So if anything does go down the toilet today, I'm pinning it on you, Mike.

Don't give up.

Not now, not soon, not after being continually knocked down.

If you never give up, you can never truly fail.

I went to a funeral on Friday the 13th. Actually the funeral was on Saturday, but the viewing was on Friday evening. Just as my mom and I entered the funeral home, a tornado passed by on the south edge of town. Sirens going off, the wind was whipping at the windows. All I could imagine was my poor dead grandmother's body being hurled across town by a tornado. The funeral director assured us that the building was too sound to go anywhere, so we calmed down and proceeded to replace the icky carnation-pink lipstick that they put on my grandmother with a much more appealing shade peach (which she would have preferred). Also, my grandmother's siblings (ages 83 and 87) were still on the road at the time of the tornado warning. They seemed unaffected though.

But I'm not superstitious at all - I just thought it was ironic and somewhat funny.

Cheers,
Loonette
