Fun with cars
I'll agree with the whole road rage thing, its never a good situation...and I never will condone going up and hitting someones window AFTER getting cutoff or almost sideswiped. Thats asking for it...

Yeah I definitely wouldn't do this.kellanv wrote:I'll agree with the whole road rage thing, its never a good situation...and I never will condone going up and hitting someones window AFTER getting cutoff or almost sideswiped. Thats asking for it...
Hitting his car was an absolute panic reaction and apparently the only one that woke him up. I had no room behind me and no room in front of me - we were in congested traffic and he just started merging. He would have been hard pressed to convince a cop I damaged him in that circumstance, that's for sure!

Yeah, as a last resort it does the trick. at the same time, getting on a shoulder or braking a bit is definately a safer option. I'll admit though that I've hit a few cars. Mainly people on cellphones who forget about blind spots.
Before I wasn't saying that it's going to lead to a conversation with a cop, I was implying that a guy's just going to get pissed that you touched his car and drive right over you.
Probably the same guy that sits on your bike in the parking lot and knocks it over yet doesn't see anything wrong with it.

Wow! That's a scary story. Glad you were able to wake the dude up.
I have never been that close to a car. (Knock on wood) But I did see this "Bad A$$" biker dude ride up behind a semi and slap the back of it as he rode by. I thought he was just a Dumb A$$, but that's just me.

I would probably have had the same reaction you did but in all reality we are at a lose-lose situation. The cage could just say, "Fack it" and run you completely off the road....or he could simply pull over at the next light you guys encounter and you can duke it out for the victory.
I have had numerous encounters with cagers out here and a few of them have slammed their brakes and stopped in the middle of their actions to try to scare me.
I have been talking with the Sheriff's Department to allow me to put a shotgun rack on the back of the R6 but haven't gotten any word back.

Nalian, glad you're ok. We have cars do that to use here A LOT! Especially at stop signs, it's really frustrating. I have almost reached out and clocked a couple vehicles when they did that when I ride pillion with DH. But, since we have to be "good ambassadors" and keep everything disgustingly diplomatic, we can't do a thing but ignore it. That's a real butt burner.
