An additonal tip: If your bike is laying FLAT on the ground so you can't do the 'back to the bike' method, tip it up a bit and wedge something (like your tankbag) underneath the tank.
THEN you can (hopefully) get enough leverage to lift the other way.

Had a problem with a wing that way
Had a goldwing I lifted with that method.[Shortly after I had heart surgery]
and wasn't supposed to be lifting ANYTHING.
Works good and I hope ya never have to find out..

That's easy, it's keeping his attention that's tough... I've seen goldfish with longer attention spans.motogirl wrote:Ha! I got Verm's attention!
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

wow I drive down dirt roads once in a while and I dont go below 15mph. I am up to 20mph so far to where I feel comfortable but havent gone any faster yet.
heck I feel somewhat unstable at 5mph on a normal road other than stopping.

Some bikes are just designed with the weight in a perfect point. A guy at the DC bike show put one of his custom cruisers on it's side for my girlfriend (on a huge pad meant to protect the bike and granted holding it 6 inches off the floor), and lifted it back up with one hand. He told us it weighed 620 lbs!Venarius wrote:The two times i've dropped my new bike (750+ pound cruiser) I was pumped with so much adrenaline when I went to the ground that I hopped up and just lifted...dont' even remember specific tactic used.

yeah low center of gravity cruisers do tip up easier... still good to have a goo d ergonomic approach...dont want to slip a sdisk and redrop it.
Dyin'? Boy, he can have this little life any time he wants to. Do ya hear that? Are ya hearin' it? Come on. You're welcome to it, ol' timer. Let me know you're up there. Come on. Love me, hate me, kill me, anything. Just let me know it.

And be careful when its upright! Last thing you want to do is use so much force pushing it up that you topple it over onto the other side!
