Yup, we recognise (usually) that they are totaly different vehicles, which require separate training for usage.

Also the full bike test is considerably more challenging than a car test

Kal, sorry to hear your pain. Is it more difficult for you to complete the car driving test? Their law doesn't make sense, you might want to write to whoever your local authority is requesting it be reviewed, and in the mean time bite the bullet and follow their rules.

(and slight hijack)

I'm VERY sorry that you are having so many problems with your son. I wish there was something we could do to help! Are you a member of any men's rights groups? Try going here: mensactivism.org, and try to get some contact information for groups in your area. What you are going through is very common. The problem is not the lawyers, the problem is with your ex-wife (influenced by PC groups that no doubt make her feel entitled and justified in whatever she is doing to ruin the relationship with you and your son) and crooked politicians that pander to special interest groups that love to pass anti-male laws, especially in the family courts.

Sorry Kal to hear about all those issues. :( I never like to hear bad in others lives.

About the licences: I had my motorcycle licence years before I got my car licence. In Toronto, Ontario (where I lived at the time) you didn't need to have a car licence to get or operate a motorcycle.

Mike.

Cheers Guys its cool.

Dukanmortis has said I can exercise his CB500 for a bit seeing as he has just got his 'Blade.

I'm a card carrying member of Fathers 4 Justice, the first year was the hardest and the courage of some of those guys helped a lot when I thought I was not strong enough to survive the legal wrangling.

I reinsured the Trike as I can still go out on it even if I do have to be supervised by a car driver <sucks>

In the long run I will have to get a car licence. I just didnt want to be spending that kind of money in the immediate future.

Oh and Mike I should have some really good news in a couple of days, so its all good.

You should have Catagory B1 on your licence, it wasn't that long ago that they stopped issuing to Full Bike Licences.

Fish it out and have a look. I am planning to borrow the CB500 this weekend, are you around?

here in Fl you can get motorcycle only lisense, also a trike/sidecar only lisense. of you have 2wheel lisense you can ride a 3 wheel vehicle without the 3 wheel lisense.
