Did you try K-mart? They often have an excellent selection of motorcycle batteries in the $35 range. Yes. If you mean that the cranking speed is slowing down considerably, then that's another indication that your battery is not up to par. Did you put a voltmeter on it yet??today after an attempt to regularly turn it on with the starter.....after a few "ehe ehe ehe ehe ehe" sounds it started giving the "errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr errrrrrrrrrr" sound.
