Hmmm - this very same topic came up not too long ago. Riding without a cage leaves you susceptible to every external element of being on the road. It's just the way it goes. And a 2-3 second following distance is the minimum for safe riding anyway. I get nailed by still-lit cigarettes all the time (amazing how many folks don't consider that littering!), but I consider it partially my fault when I'm only 2 seconds behind the person's vehicle.

I know these things are annoying, but really... you're on a motorcycle.

I think one of the most beautiful things ever is a cigarette thrown from a car at night... then I remember it's littering and these people's lungs are turning to tar covered ash... but I still think it's beautiful

If you think washer fluid is annoying, I hope you never get stuck behind a cattle truck. Washer fluid is like taking a cool, clean shower, compared to what comes flying out of those trucks.
