got a 1984 Honda magna V45

#1 Unread post by stephen85858585 »

I just got a 1984 Honda Magna V45. It is not running and its missing some parts but it`ll be a cool winter project, one of the cyinders is messed, may just be the rings but who knows. Anyways if anyone wants to say anything about these books that`d be cool, I`ll probably be doing more posts with questions as i get this awesome bike up and running.

Hey there fellow Magna owner 8)

Good luck with your project bike. Grab yourself a service manual from Honda or a Clymers/Haynes manual if you can't get a hold of the real thing.

I got a V30 for the g/f. They are fun to work on but getting the carbs back in is an art. I've gotten more help for my bike at this forum than at the honda v4 forum... but mainly because they see the v30 as a girls bike and don't care to answer any questions b/c a v30 can't wheelie

It's a solid bike though, a few weird idiosyncracies. Make sure to replace your fuel lines soon though. Mine couldn't take 10% ethanol without degrading.
