It sounds like you guys/gals are practicing well. It's good to see deedee getting teh hang so quickly. The clutch thing sounds like it's coming along fine. I also noticed that you seem to be getting more confidence when you are by yourself. That's probably because you are more relaxed without having anyone there to constantly dorrect you. You are smart enough to realize that you are making mistakes and have managed to correct them yourself. That is a great confidence booster. Keep it up.
silentx.... you said you get 1-3 quickly. That's good, but right up to 6th at 40-45 mph. Not good, my friend. You want to keep your RPM's within the power band. That way you always are able to accellerate quickly, or use effective engine braking if needed. If you are at low RPM's and suddenly get into a situation requiring some jam, you won't have it on hand. You'll have to downshift first, then try to evade the danger and if you need the throttle, you won't have it as your bike will not respond quickly. Also, if you have very low RPM's and brake quickly, there is the danger of stalling out, and if you are busy evading something, you could very easily fall over. And you don't want that.
