everybody has different opnions.
Did you hear that? It was the sound of Sev's point flying over your head.
i know.
but it is fact that the gixxer750 will outperform the 675 given equal rider skill.
but then again... the gixxer750 is in a higher class than the 675 so it's not a fair comparison.
Actually, I owe everyone an apology, it was NOT motorcyclist magazine, it was Cycle World. And I stand by the fact that they state the Daytona 675 was the bike to come out ahead in the comparos.
It has a broader powerband, better delivery, lighter weight, smaller frame size, more comfortable accomodations, and better flickability/steering both into and out of the corners.
What am I getting at here?
I could take a Busa and turbo it out to 500hp. That does NOT make it a better race bike. All it does it make it a fast freaking drag bike.
All you do is drop hp/torque specs and say, "my bike is better then it, because it makes more power." Personally, and this is just me, but I'd take the bike that allowed for better control, as this means you can enter corners faster, exit sooner, and with the broader range on the inline3 can squirt out of the corners that much quicker.
Regardless, I'll make a note of sending you a complete copy of the entire article the second I get home. Or try to get it mailed here to me.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.
