Maine Soldier Takes The Long Way Home

A navy reservist from Maine who just finished his second tour of duty in Iraq decided to take the long way home after returning to the states. On Sunday, Gunners Mate First Class Tim Tuttle rolled into Portsmouth on his motorcycle.
The South Berwick man made port in California after returning from the persian gulf, and decided to ride his his bike across the country.
He and his girlfriend covered about 4,300 miles.
Tuttle was met by his family, several local police and fire crews, as well as the Patriot Guard, a group that meets returning vets and escorts them home.
