I took orgo, im now in biochem, and soon it will be medicinal chem. Im in for a fun time.

Sympathise! Loved Bio, hated Chemo when I was at college. But sorry to say, Bio IS Chemo. Can't get away from it. Medicine made very little progress until it turned its attention from Anatomy to Physiology (ie Chemistry). The two go hand in glove. Other studies are similar. Better knuckle down to it!

Hope the rectal epithelium has started to recover

Even marine biologists need to understand chemistry. It's not like you only have a camera, wetsuit and a smile. At one point you are bound to run a test, a gel, some sort of reaction and then you'll be pissed that you didn't understand the chemistry.
