For reading comprehension you seemed to miss the passenger in an automobile that had the airbag break my arm. But sure, I guess it was close enough.qwerty wrote:
As for you, storysunfolding:
Uh-huh. Right. You're the moron who crashed his motorcycle and crippled himself. I'm willing to give you the benefit of the doubt, let's just pretend your mind was fine until you crashed and damaged your brain.
And again- maybe your girl plays football, maybe she's good at it, but to break one opponent's bone a game (almost) with clean hits starting at the age of 13 and a half... no, I'm not buying that. With protective gear what it is, having spent years on a rescue squad at football games, with a father/stepmom in orthopedics and my current preparation for med school - I can't see that as possible. Especially for a 168 pound girl.

I did it through a motorcycle tire on Sept 22nd as part of a project to repair a tire puncture. I went straight through the middle of the tread, and only used a "decent sized" phillips head screwdriver.-Holiday wrote:have you tried it? I have. It didnt work. Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

so i guess you're assuming the sidewall on an amotorcycle is the same as on a car/truck?Sevulturus wrote:I did it through a motorcycle tire on Sept 22nd as part of a project to repair a tire puncture. i tried it on a truck tire at the junkyard, that was mounted on the vehicle and had air in it. Go try that and let me know how that works out for you.

Sniff, sniff…I smell bull.

My experience with soldiers who have been in combat is they are usually reluctant to talk about it, even to those who were alongside them at the time. qwerty, you appear to be proud of killing, and I notice you have mentioned these exploits on more than one occasion.qwerty wrote:Hmmm? Only two? Four on two occasions. They shot first, I shot better. Plus no telling how many in Viet Nam. Again, you demonstrate a total lack of ability in reading comprehension. Maybe you could try Sylvan Learning Centers?

Why mess around with a screwdriver, a little folder does wonders.-Holiday wrote:so i guess you're assuming the sidewall on an amotorcycle is the same as on a car/truck?Sevulturus wrote:I did it through a motorcycle tire on Sept 22nd as part of a project to repair a tire puncture. That should thoroughly end the qwerty argument. Congrats Holiday, that was beautiful.-Holiday wrote:Now if you'll exuse me I have to go have dinner with the President on the Moon.
And I think we have arrived at.... Weapons on a bike are a personal issue as much as wearing safety gear. Whichever way you go you are either doing the right thing or a total moron for doing it....depending on who you talk to.
Agreed?
Dyin'? Boy, he can have this little life any time he wants to. Do ya hear that? Are ya hearin' it? Come on. You're welcome to it, ol' timer. Let me know you're up there. Come on. Love me, hate me, kill me, anything. Just let me know it.

I have to agree re: a weapons thread.storysunfolding wrote:.. yeah, but it is a weapons thread.... sorry, i know i'm an asshat for doing it but guns are totally on topic here.Pongo wrote:This is a motorcycle forum not a gun forum. So, please let’s put away the 45.
The OP stated he didn’t think he needed a gun and was asking what else could be considered a weapon and if he needs one.
He didn’t ask how many people any of us had killed.
The thread was okay, though soapbox-ish, until qwerty entered with his boring war stories. I don’t see they had any relevance.
BTW you ain’t an asshat, yet.
