I received the sensor for my Nanocon project. It's... a bit smaller than I expected. Remember the Nanocon compared to a penny? Well, here's the sensor:
...yeah, soldering that was fun.

On to the bad things: I was stupid last week and took a corner a bit too fast in my Civic. What I thought was fairly fresh snow turned out to be a dusting over some polished ice. So, my car took a dive into a curb. Doh! First time I've had something happen like that, so I suppose I was about due.... well, here's to another 100,000+ miles without an incident like that!
I bent my rim, so I hit up a junkyard and got a new-to-me rim ($18 ).
Then, a couple days later my car was making a terrible noise when turning left or reversing. I had already checked my suspension parts when inspecting my rim off the car, they all looked perfectly straight. Also, it was coming from the side I didn't hit.
I pulled the passenger side wheel today and found this:
Phew, I thought I broke something and I really didn't want to spend more time wrenching on my car in the snow! We're supposed to get another four inches today, too, so I'm quite happy.
