blue - black - it's all the same, right BuzZz?
Appearantly not, from you guys have been telling me. Who knew.... :whome:
I thought it was purple? Wait... you WANTED purple right?
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

I've never been a really big fan of colored rims. :?

If it's not some shade of metal, it should either be black or white, and even then only to match a specific paint scheme.

Those wheels gonna stay red? Not that I'm saying it won't look good, everyone has their own opinion and all.. I just want to know how the bike is gonna look before you get the pictures up. :D

(I really don't even like super-fancy chrome rims, for that matter)

Hey guys. The rear wheel has been stripped on the outer rim.The spokes have been "test" painted to match the bike. I think I wanna do a red/ brushed aluminum look. I might switch it up from front to rear. I have an idea of this: front wheel= red rim w/aluminum spokes rear wheel=aluminum rim w/red spokes. I'm gonna try it at least if it doesnt look good I'll just fix it. 8)

Man, whatever happened to 'splatter' painting from the eighties?

Paint your rims red, and then just splatter some black paint at it with the brush! :D

Gasp...you said the b word.

Well, I finished the buffing on all the pieces (except the front faring and fender), and they look great! The tank has gotten way out of hand since I buffed the lower half, way too glossy after the second compound, and third :P ...Chris took the gas cap and decided it was not going to cut it, and I discovered it was painted, too, only silver! Also very discolored and nasty. The paint was a good job, but I don't know why bother paint an alloy piece!?!? It just got all nasty, even though it still looked like alloy. I don't get it, but it kind of goes along with the original repaint. So, I stripped it and polished it, and it meets approval now.

Chris made a couple of changes to his faring design, so he just got it primed tonight, and the front fender had a paint problem we didn't notice until the clear was wet sanded, so It's not quite done. His new faring design really sets the front off, for a single rectangular headlight. He is an artist, and it really shows in this project.

Left to do...swingarm, frame, forks seals, wheels, and reassembly. Stay tuned! And..Thanks for all the interest!
Ride safe...God bless!

Just curious on your last pic on the 1st page gas tank what is under the gas hole? looks like you tried to have a design or is that camera error?

Looking good wanna see some finished stuff man..

Can you paint my air duct covers on my honda? They are already painted but kinda a bad job they did .. all ornge peal look goin on

Also my rims are black how do you polish then to a chrome finish? What to use and how long..

Should I just buy another set of rims and have them done?
I was thinking of having my rims (the rim of the rims) coated with yellow chrome like finish..

Thanks

Shawn
