hee hee -- well i do have a large database of bikes in my head and hit a few nice ones, but there are lots of cool bikes out there, scooters, sport, daily riders, etc... i think some very pedestrian bikes are totally cool too..Logitech105 wrote:I would post my top five, but it just doesn't compare to the post above...

GPZ900R (new condition and stock as mine is beaten up frame-wise and tuned)
Ducati 848 EVO (Flat BLack)
2011 Kawasaki ZX-10R
Harley Davidson Night Rod
Racing prepped Suzuki GSX-R 600 (so I can take part in AMA regionals).
Too bad it's only 5, I wanted to add Piaggio MP3 and 1979 Moto Guzzi Le Mans 850 that was at the beginning of the thread.

Ok, just restricting it to current production bikes (if I could choose from every bike ever produced, I'd collapse into a nervous, shuddering wreck of indecision):
Triumph Speed Triple R (the every day, go to bike)
BMW R1200 GS Adventure (a long trip cliché)
Ural Patrol or Gear Up (so I can ride almost regardless of conditions)
BMW S1000RR (gotta have something for the track)
Piaggio MP3 (tooling around, running errands, getting around the city)

Re: 5 Fave Bikes and the owning of, thereof*
I have to say, I do not quite feel qualified for this having only ridden my GS500 (and I guess the Nighthawk in class). My dad has invited me to give his Harley a ride around the cul-de-sac... but I will wait until I am very confident in my skills
(department bike!). But I sat on a bunch of bikes today, one in particular that made me want to write my list.
1- Triumph Speed Triple
2- Ducati Monster
3- Goldwing
4- Harley Nightrod or XR1200X (though never seen either in person)
5- Some sort of dual sport
The Speed Triple was what I discovered today. The Monster I have not sat on, but in my mind at least it seems similar to the Speed Triple- maybe not at all (but my idea being a sporty-upright). I am torn because I could see a bigger cruiser on there (bigger than the Harleys I listed, but not Goldwing big!)... but I could maybe remove the Speed Triple or Monster after test rides... or the Goldwing? Or the dual sport? Ghar! If I ever got into track riding the list would be subject to change
