I have LCD so,
15" = 1024 x 768
17" = 1280 x 1024
etc. etc.
The limiting factor these days as far as resolutions are concerned is usually your video card.
a LCD monitor is made specifically for one set of vertical and horizontal pixels. if you change the resolution it will strech/shrink the picture.. sure you could tune it but why would anyone bother??
