Back to topic, one should remain relaxed on the bike during cornering for better feedback. Also, a surprising number of riders are not aware of counter-steer. We all turn by pushing the handlebars the opposite way to cause bike to lean and turn. (Push handlebar to point front wheel to the right, bike immediately leans to the left and turns left.) When you know of this powerful centrifugal force aspect, more control can be had.

It doesn't take much practice. Especially if you remember riding a bicycle when you were younger. If you ever rode a bicycle around your neighborhood at faster than walking speed, you used counter steering to turn your bicycle.
Many folks get themselves tied in mental knots over the concept on paper. But once you DO IT, it's easy.

First ten minutes out on a motorcycle I consciously countersteered (pushed forward on the right grip, dipped right)

Not at dirty Agrium sulphate mine, nor at noisy Tembec (Spruce Falls) paper mill... I just work for myself.
Countersteer is so effective that, at city speeds, in a situation where you start turning right to drive around a car ahead, but suddenly have to go around to the left as car starts turning to the right, from a lean to the right, front wheel can actually jump right off the road as you countersteer the other way, and motorcycle immediately assumes left leaning position in ideal direction. Pretty cool stuff...
